“The Madness & ME: The MAteriality of addiction”
The Madness & Me: The Materiality of Addiction is a multi-media exhibition which tells the stories of addiction, recovery and resilience of people with close ties to substance abuse.
The title comes from the colloquial use of “the madness” as an expression of living in addiction.
The exhibition is structured around the theme of life in and out of the madness of addiction and what that means to the individual. With empathetic, trauma-informed displays and community programming - The Madness & Me seeks to disrupt society’s often negative perception of “the addict”.
Curated by Danielle Megaffin, the exhibition brings together the artwork, objects and music from many artists and contributors.
